That evening or after you are home, choose an Experience, add a family reference photo, and generate the Memory. It lands in your private collection, ready to share when you want to.

The only thing Unlocked needs from the landmark is one current location sample. Do it as you arrive and the rest of the visit belongs to the family.
The Memory is generated from a reference photo you provide later. A cheerful breakfast-table shot often beats anything negotiated in front of a monument at hour six.
Landmark stamps collect on your Passport for free, so kids can watch the collection grow during the trip. Deciding which visit becomes a generated Memory can wait for a quiet evening.

Yes. The unlock, the Experience choice, and Memory creation all happen from one account. Nothing requires every family member to have the app.
No. There is a single current location sample when you choose Unlock at a supported Landmark, and no background or continuous tracking. Reference photos and Memories stay private.
Yes. Verified landmark visits and the Passport they collect on are free. Your first GPS-verified unlock also grants a welcome credit toward a first generated Memory; further Memories use credits.
Unlocked verifies presence at a landmark; venue admission, tickets, and photography rules are always arranged separately with the venue.
Only supported Landmarks can be unlocked, and only from inside their supported areas. The rest of the day belongs to your own camera—we think that division is healthy.
