Unlock while you are there.
Open the Landmark in Unlocked and choose Unlock. A current location sample confirms you are inside the supported area—no timer, no tripod, and no asking strangers unless you want to.

Stay in the moment.
Once the unlock confirms, you are free. Wander, sit, people-watch, change your plans. The visit is recorded either way, and nothing tracks you in between landmarks.

Create the Memory later.
Back at the hotel, or weeks later at home, choose a curated Experience for that landmark, add a reference photo of yourself, and generate a private Memory when you feel like it.

A camera records the scene; a generated Memory puts you in it. Knowing which one you want at each stop keeps the trip yours. If setting up a shot is the fun part, do it. If it is a chore, unlock and keep walking.
The unlock is the only time-sensitive part.
Everything Unlocked needs from the place is one current location sample inside the supported area. Do that when you arrive, then decide later what deserves more attention. There is no background tracking in between.

Does Unlocked track my location during a solo trip?
No. Unlocked checks one current location sample when you choose Unlock at a supported Landmark. It does not run continuous or background tracking between landmarks.
Do I need someone to take my photo?
No. The Memory is generated later from a reference photo you provide, so nobody has to hold your camera. If you enjoy asking strangers for portraits, that photograph still stands on its own.
Is the first Memory free?
Your first GPS-verified Landmark unlock grants a welcome credit that can fund your first Memory. Collecting landmark stamps and sharing your Passport is free; additional Memories use credits.
Can I unlock several landmarks in one day?
Yes. Each supported Landmark needs its own visit and location check, and a verified unlock stays available. Many solo travelers string two or three into a single walk.
What if I arrive early morning or late evening?
Unlocked verifies presence, not the hour. The location check works whenever you are genuinely inside the supported area; venue opening hours and safety advice are separate and worth checking per landmark.
Unlocked is free to collect: verify a landmark visit, keep the stamp, and share the Passport. Generated Memories are optional, private, and never required.
