Make one frame for the square and another for yourself.
A wide photograph can show the open space, the arcades, and the river-facing setting. For a portrait, choose one arcade or a smaller part of the architecture. Your expression should not have to compete with the whole square.
Try a frame facing the architecture, then a separate view toward the Tagus. Notice how the background changes before moving your companion around. You can get variety by turning the camera rather than turning the stop into a long shoot.
Let people pass through and keep entrances clear. If the square is busy, use the repetition of the arches to simplify the composition instead of waiting for every person to leave.

Will Empty Square remove tourists from my own photograph?
Unlocked creates a new generated Memory from reference photos and a curated Experience after a verified visit. It does not retouch a chosen holiday photograph or guarantee the square will be empty.
Does visiting Praça do Comércio unlock the whole Lisbon collection?
No. Each supported Landmark needs its own successful location check. Complete the unlock for the place you are visiting; being elsewhere in Lisbon does not unlock it remotely.
Can I create the Memory after leaving the square?
Yes, if you completed the Landmark unlock while there. The unlock stays available, so you can choose your Experience and create a private Memory later.
