The Barcelona Grand Walk
The Grand Walk is the whole city in one day: Montjuïc's harbour terraces, the Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta's seafront, the Arc de Triomf, and Casa Batlló, in a single northbound route of about seven kilometres. It is ambitious but genuinely walkable — carry water for the hill, ride the funicular down if you prefer, and let the day end on Passeig de Gràcia. All five stops are supported Unlocked Landmarks.

Montjuïc
Start high. The mirador terraces face the port and the skyline — decide between a harbour background and a rooftop background before you shoot, and confirm your unlock on the hill rather than after you descend.

Gothic Quarter
Drop into the old city from the south. Fourteen centuries of stone stack up fast here; take the lanes slowly and step into an open square if the location check needs open sky.

The lanes release you by the sea. Walk the boardwalk with the skyline at the frame's edge — the rare landmark where the setting does half the work.

Arc de Triomf
Turn back inland along the waterfront and up to the promenade. The arch is broad and symmetrical and best photographed with air around it — step back along the tiles rather than shooting from beneath.

Casa Batlló
End the day on Passeig de Gràcia. If your feet are done, the façade is a five-minute stop from the avenue; if they are not, save the Modernisme colour for golden hour.

Is the Barcelona Grand Walk too much for one day?
It is a full day but a fair one: about seven kilometres spread across five stops, most of it flat once the hill is behind you. Take the funicular or bus down Montjuïc and the route becomes an easy stroll between neighbourhoods.
Which stop should I not skip?
None — but if you must shorten the day, the Gothic Quarter to Barceloneta stretch is the heart of the walk: medieval lanes opening onto the sea within a few minutes of each other.
Does the route need any tickets?
Only if you add them. Montjuïc's viewpoints and gardens are free, the beach and promenades are public, and the arch and façade stand on open ground. Cable cars, museums, and house tours are separate paid activities.
