Cairo by Driver: Pyramids to Bazaar
Plan a full Cairo day by car with a driver, beginning with the Giza Pyramids in morning light, visiting Sultan Hassan Mosque and the Citadel around midday, then finishing with Al-Azhar Park’s panorama and Khan el-Khalili’s market lanes. Drive between Landmarks; this is not a continuous walking route. At each stop, explore only permitted visitor areas and leave room for photography, religious etiquette and local guidance. Giza Pyramids
Begin here for the planned morning-light stop. Use a designated viewing area, start with a wide frame and bring your companion closer to the camera for scale. Keep pyramid peaks clear of their head, stay on permitted paths and check the Landmark map while on the plateau.

Sultan Hassan Mosque
After the drive from Giza, confirm you are at Sultan Hassan rather than the neighboring Al-Rifa’i Mosque — they share the square. Let the tall portal establish the building’s scale. If courtyard access is permitted, keep the fountain and iwan opening separate from your subject, and follow staff guidance on prayer, footwear and photography.

Continue by car to the Citadel and check current visitor arrangements. From a permitted exterior terrace, choose either the mosque silhouette or the city panorama as your background. Keep everyone safely behind the barrier; no rooftop or mosque interior is needed for these exterior views.

Drive onward to Al-Azhar Park for a garden-and-skyline stop. Check the app’s arrival area inside the park, then use a designated path or a strip of Cairo’s roofline to anchor your portrait. Stay outside planted beds and water features, and check current photography arrangements.

Finish with a drive to Khan el-Khalili, then explore its market lanes on foot. Pause at a clear edge so shoppers can pass, and ask before using a stall or merchandise as your main backdrop. A market visit does not grant permission to enter or photograph neighboring mosques.

Is this a walking route?
No. This itinerary is planned around transfers by car with a driver, with exploration on foot within permitted areas at each Landmark. Giza is west of Cairo across the Nile and is treated as a separate excursion in the collection.
Does an Unlock include admission or interior access?
No. Giza site admission and pyramid interior access are arranged separately. Sultan Hassan’s admission and interior access are also separate from the app. Check current visitor arrangements for the Citadel and entry and photography arrangements for Al-Azhar Park.
How do I make sure I visit the correct Landmark?
Check the Landmark map on the Giza plateau rather than relying on a distant view. Sultan Hassan shares its square with the neighbouring Al-Rifa’i Mosque, so confirm the building in the app. The Citadel’s Muhammad Ali Mosque is a different site, and Al-Azhar Park is separate from Al-Azhar Mosque.
What photography etiquette should I follow?
Follow staff guidance for prayer, footwear and photography at religious sites. At Khan el-Khalili, ask before photographing vendors or making a stall the main backdrop, and keep passageways clear. Stay on permitted paths and behind barriers throughout the day.
